Whenever you drop a book and quill or a written book, it will erase everything from the book, pisses me off, but if you could fix this, that would be great.

It is not possible to fix this yet, since it is a minecraft/bukkit glitch. I think it will be fixed when 1.4 is released and we can update all plugins. (1-2 months)
